Myers Flat

Welcome to Myers Flat, founded in 1867, located in the heart of the Humboldt Redwoods State Park on the Avenue of the Giants. With easy highway access, one can fill up on gas and then head to the general store for food, ice and camping necessities. Camp at the two state campgrounds in close proximity, one which houses the Visitor Center for the park. For those who enjoy coming off the beaten path, visit our privately owned RV/tent campground on the majestic Eel River.

Soak up some local color by patronizing our businesses which provide a variety of services. Jump start your day with a cafe mocha and pastry at our local coffee house, rumored to have the best espresso in the west. For larger appetites, indulge yourself with a country breakfast or lunch at our local restaurants before exploring the wonders of the redwoods along the Avenue's many trails and groves. Later, wander through our gift shops and see how artisans have captured the beauty and grace of our area in locally crafted redwood gifts and carvings. Wind down by visiting our local saloon and shoot a game of pool.

For the weary traveler, one can get a good night's sleep at our local motel or stay in our historical inn and enjoy true country hospitality. Catch up on your laundry at our all new laundromat - no load is too big. While you wait, treat yourself to a new hairstyle or manicure at our beauty salon and don't miss popping into our local second hand stores to find that perfect memento. Ensure your postcards get home before you do. Visit the post office.

Finally, don't miss our small town landmark, the famous Drive Thru Tree and get a true sense of being in the heart of redwood country. After this ultimate vacation experience, we know you'll understand why people say, "Myers Flat is where it's at."
