Tall Trees of Humboldt Redwoods State Park

The following is a list of the tall trees you will find at the park:

• Founders Tree
  357 feet
  Located in the Founders Grove, four miles north of the Visitor Center.

  Giant Tree

  357 - 363 feet

  (The top cannot be seen from the ground due to the density of branches, so a more accurate measurement cannot be made.)

  Located at the Big Trees Area, five miles west of the Avenue of the Giants on the Mattole Road.

  Tallest Tree (Also called the Rockefeller Tree)

  360 feet

  Located at the Big Trees Area, five miles west of the Avenue of the Giants on the Mattole Road.

  Flatiron Tree

  Fell in winter storms of January 1995

  Located at the Big Trees Area, five miles west of the Avenue of the Giants on the Mattole Road.

  Dyerville Giant

  362 feet (Measured by two different sources at 370 feet after it fell.)

  Fell on March 24, 1991. Located in the Founders Grove, four miles north of the Visitor Center.
